Enter a Zoom meeting
- The link to your webinar will generally be emailed to your CIIS.edu account about 15 minutes before class starts.
- If you cannot access this email account, please contact support@uswired.com.
- Click the link to join. If you have the Zoom application installed, launch it by clicking either Zoom Meetings > Open Link (Windows) or Open zoom.us (Mac) when prompted.
- Click Join with Computer Audio.
- You will enter the meeting as muted with webcam off.
Basic controls
Once you’re in the meeting, you will automatically be muted with webcam off.
You can Unmute [1] and Share Video [2]. Both are located at the lower left of the black toolbar.
You can also see the list of Participants by clicking Participants [3], or chat by clicking Chat [4] in the black toolbar. A panel will open along the right. If you have trouble seeing the panel, maximize Zoom by clicking the four expansion arrows in the upper right corner [5].
Exit a Zoom meeting
If you are not the Host
Click Leave Meeting at the lower right:
If you are the Host
Click End Meeting at the lower right. You will see a prompt. You can choose to:

- Click Leave Meeting (which allows the meeting to continue without you).
If you are leaving due to audio/webcam quality then after you click Leave Meeting, re-enter the meeting using the link in your email.
- Click Leave Meeting (which allows the meeting to continue without you).
OR

- Click End meeting for all (to end the Zoom session entirely).
